Slow Jam 2 - Hovertank Blitz
A hover-tank arena game, made in 24 hours over 12 weeks with a student audience. Unity, C#, Synty graphics and VFX, third-party audio; design & programming mine.
Requires keyboard and a mouse or other pointer.
Badly scoped, as usual (let that be a lesson, etc. etc.), and I wasted about 3 hours on a really stupid vectors bug. Main challenge this time was not really having the vision click until a long way through: I made a nice toy to find the fun but didn't know what the game was.
I have taken the liberty of a tiny bit of fixing-up (a start button, credits, fixing the "cursor won't come back on death" bug) but have otherwise left it as abandoned at the time limit.
There are plenty of obvious (and non-obvious) improvements to make, and listing them is left as an exercise to my students. There might be a version with a couple more days of polish in future, but the jam edition will remain available.
